The platform allows customers to buy gas, share the litres with their contacts, withdraw money and shop at the foodcourt’s convenience store.
Fill Smart is a new retail platform for fuel stations customers to debut in the coming weeks in Argentina. Alongside the PAGBAM Abogados law firm, the company is developing an app for smartphones that consists of an e-wallet dedicated to manage purchases in forecourts.
The service will not only allow its users to acquire fuel but also to transfer a specific amount to their contacts. It will also have several other options such as withdrawing money from ATMs and purchasing items at the convenience store. The payment methods available when the software launches will be by cash, credit and debit card. Currently, the company is working on developing a transfer and token mechanism that can be adjusted to the fuel industry.
“We already contacted companies in order to integrate the service and are currently moving forward with some independent service stations and with some of the most well-known oil companies,” said Matias Ferrari, Presidente and Co-Founder of Fill Smart, in an interview with the Argentinian website Surtidores.
“We are starting with four kinds of energies: super and premium fuel as well as super and premium diesel. But we aim to add more assets as clients become engaged and know more about the app,” added Piera Pedemonte, Project Manager and shareholder of Fill Smart. The firm does not rule out the idea of adding Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and electricity in the future.
Their first step will be to carry out some pilot tests in different service stations of the Buenos Aires province and in a Brazilian network. Regarding its expansion in Argentina, the firm will test the app in a “friends & family” environment of no more than 100 users, including B2B clients, to then step up and offer its services on a national level.
